Our Programs and FacilitiesThe Mission of Yahweh offers many life-changing programs focused on ending the cycle of dependency. Education: We offer educational programs such as drug awareness and literacy classes, mandatory GED classes for those without a high school diploma, and computer training to develop job skills and resume preparation. We provide essential case management services that assist in women dealing with the pains of their past, and learning how to hold hope for the future. Women receive a self improvement plan based on their needs. Weekly monitoring helps each resident to reach established goals. Our Responsible Resident Program teaches responsibility and demands accountability by requiring that all women give a minimum of 20 hours per week to help maintain The Mission. Residents help cook all of the meals, clean their room and bathrooms and help with taking "in-kind" donations. Most importantly, as a non-denominational Christian shelter, The Mission of Yahweh strives to meet spiritual needs by offering chapel services 3 days per week, and providing spiritual counseling for anyone in need. We believe that improving character and values are essential to creating lasting change in the lives of homeless women and their children. |
